We wanted to remind you about the importance of accurate information when providing your personal details, as it would be very disappointing to invalidate your car insurance for failing to inform the insurer about changes to your circumstances.
Providing false information or failing to update any changes in your circumstances, whether intentionally or not, can invalidate your insurance and may result in your insurer refusing to pay out for claims, or even cancel your policy. Some types of misinformation may even be classed as fraud and could see you end up in court.

You should always tell us if you:
- Change address
- Use your vehicle to commute to work or for business
- Make any modifications to the vehicle
- Have an accident or any motoring convictions
- Exceed the agreed annual mileage
- Change your job

Insurance fraud can also be committed if parents are named as the main policyholder but the child is the main driver of the vehicle.
