Meet Cheryl Kirkwood - New To Our Hull Branch

We would like to welcome Ben and Cheryl to Hedon Insurance.
Cheryl Kirkwood is based at our Hull office on Holderness Road.
Background and experience
"I started as a Senior complaint Administrator in 2019 with a life insurance company, dealing with many different types of complaints from customers. I enjoyed turning a complaining customer into a customer who gave positive feedback and positive word of mouth. Prior to this I worked in claims management for motor insurance claims, so have experienced it from the opposite side too."
What attracted you to work at Hedon Insurance?
"I was aware of Hedon Insurance through an old colleague and had always heard good things. So when I saw a vacancy had become available, I was pleased to apply. I also liked that there was a branch close to where I live. It makes such a difference working close to home, even though for the last two years I had been working at home."
Favourite performers – My favourite group is between Queen and A-ha, my favourite comedian is Sarah Millican and my favourite ballet is the Nutcracker.
Favourite place in the UK – I love Bridlington.
Favourite place in the world – Matagorda in Lanzarote.
Mostly found doing – apart from housework, I enjoy baking and walking my dog. I try to get out walking in nature as much as possible.
Dream gig – would be watching Queen with Freddie Mercury.
Nostalgic treat – I love old school puds like chocolate concrete with pink custard or a Bird's Trifle. For sweets it has to be Dracula fangs.
Karaoke song – it is best for everyone in hearing range, that I never go on the karaoke.
Current TV box set – I am currently watching Virgin River on Netflix. However my go to would be Rizzoli and Isles or Charmed.
